Press access to the Parliament on Monday, January 15, 2024

2024-01-08

In connection with H.M. King Frederik X and H.M. Queen Mary’s visit to the Parliament there will be a requirement for the press to be accredited in advance.

Therefore, press cards to the Parliament will not be sufficent for access.

There is limited space in the various press pools. A select number of national and international picture agencies will be represented, which will give other media outlets the opportunity to purchase pictures from the event.

We will provide access to press agencies based on their size, taking into consideration factors such as circulation or viewership.

The press will be able to be accredited to the following areas:

  • The press box in the Parliament Hall (here you can attend the meeting in the Parliament Hall  mainly reserved for photographers)
  • The main staircase to the Parliament in the Parliament Yard (Rigsdagsgården) (here you can witness the royal family’s arrival to the Parliament)
  • The area in front of the Landsting Hall (here you can witness the royal family’s and the invited guests’ arrival to the reception in the Landsting Hall)
  • The area in front of the Chamber (here you can witness the royal family’s and the members of parliament’s arrival to the Chamber)

You can only be accredited to one area. For security and practical reasons, it is not possible to move between the different press areas.

Application for accreditation must be received no later than Friday, January 12, 2024, at 12.00. You will receive a message if your request for accreditation has been met on Friday afternoon. Upon arrival, please bring an email confirming your accreditation.

If you have any questions about accreditation, you may contact the Parliament at [email protected].
