The Arctic Delegation
The delegation addresses any topic, ranging from security policy and environmental protection to sustainable trade development. The objective is to exert influence on the development of international cooperation in the Arctic Region.
The parliamentary delegation attends meetings, seminars and conferences and takes part in trips at which Arctic issues are discussed:
- The Conference of Arctic Parliamentarians: take part in discussions to address Arctic initiatives and issues
- Delegation meetings and other relevant meetings and conferences
- Debates with other Arctic parliamentarians
- Meetings with relevant Danish ministers
- Propose bills on Arctic initiatives
- Study tours relevant to Arctic cooperation
The delegation will therefore attend the Conference of Arctic Parliamentarians and select a person to represent the Danish Parliament on the Standing Committee of the Parliamentarians of the Arctic Region.
The delegation does not as such have a regular meeting time. It meets by agreement with the delegation’s chairman. Members may take part in study and delegation trips.
