Attending a sitting in the Chamber
Experience a sitting in the Chamber at the Danish Parliament and see how political debates take place.
Sittings in the Chamber of the Danish Parliament are held from the first Tuesday in October, when the Parliament officially opens, until mid-June. During this period, there are sittings in the Chamber on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1 p.m. and on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m.
If you wish to attend a sitting in the Chamber, please come to the Danish Parliament's Visitors' Entrance below the main staircase in Rigsdagsgården. When you ring the bell, an employee can inform you whether there are vacant seats in the Visitors' Gallery. Groups of more than 14 people must book seats in advance at the Danish Parliament's Visitors' Service.
The length of a sitting and the subject debated depend on the political agenda on that specific day.
Before entering the building, you must go through a security check. We therefore recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before the sitting begins.
