On Tuesday afternoon, Vietnam’s Vice President Võ Thị Ánh Xuân visited the Danish Parliament during her official visit to Denmark 20 – 22 November.

The Speaker of the Danish Parliament Søren Gade welcomed the Vice President at the Grand Staircase and escorted her to the stately Conversation Room, where Võ Thị Ánh Xuân met with Members of Parliament.

The Vice President then signed the visitors' book of the Danish Parliament, after which the Speaker showed her the different editions of the Constitutional Act of the Kingdom of Denmark and spoke of their history.

Born in 1970, Võ Thị Ánh Xuân was the youngest Vice President of the National Assembly of Vietnam at the time of her election in 2021. She has held several positions of trust in the Communist Party of Vietnam and was an upper-secondary school teacher before she entered politics.

After visiting Denmark, Võ Thị Ánh Xuân will continue her journey to Norway and Sweden.
