Yes. The parliamentary year begins on the first Tuesday in October with an opening speech in the Chamber. A small number of tickets are available for the opening speech and are handed out from 7 a.m. on the day of the opening. Tickets cannot be booked in advance.

No. The Danish Parliament's restaurant is not for visitors. An option for lunch or dinner very close to the parliament is the restaurant in the Tower of Christiansborg Palace. Please note that the restaurant is very popular so it is a good idea to book a table in advance.

Yes. You can join a guided tour of the Danish Parliament with a small group on Sundays and public holidays. However, please note that guided tours are less suited for children younger than 12 years old.

You may take a bottle of water on a guided tour, but not into the Chamber.

Yes. You can watch debates in the Chamber from the Visitors' Gallery on your own or with a group. Please ring the bell at the Visitors' Entrance and ask a Parliament Officer whether there are vacant seats.

Filming and photography are permitted in some but not all areas of the Danish Parliament. Please check with your guide prior to taking photographs.
