At a distance, you can see the Tivoli amusement park, the Town Hall Tower and the Police Headquarters. Towards south-east, there are views over the Warehouse, the Royal Library, the harbour entrance and the Islands Brygge quarter with the Øresund straits and Køge bay in the background.
The Exhibition
On your way to the View, there is a tower room. For decades, it was a secret box room. Old plaster casts, interim models for permanent works, were stored here, hidden away and almost forgotten.
A staircase and an elevator take visitors from the box room to the View. There is plenty of space to explore the box room and inspect the many beautiful plaster cast models on display here. Several of them still bear pencil marks that the sculptors used to measure up when making a mould to create the permanent work from its plaster prototype.
