The Danish Parliament is taking steps to limit the risk of infection from the coronavirus

The acquisition of the Royal Archives' buildings is getting closer. More citizens must have the opportunity to visit the Danish Parliament – among other things, a new public entrance is being examined.

On January 7th 2020, the Danish Parliament held its annual reception for the diplomatic corps.

28 May 2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the first political meeting in the Chamber of the Parliament at the current Christiansborg Castle. Since the spring of 1918, Christiansborg Castle has been the seat of Danish democracy, as we know it today. With the backing of all parliamentary parties, Parliament’s Speaker Pia Kjærsgaard (Danish People’s Party), took the initiative to award Finn Nørgaard and Dan Uzan official recognition in the form of a bravery award for their valour during the events at Krudttønden and the Synagogue in Copenhagen on 14/15 February 2015. The new award is called ‘Folketingets Hæderspris’.

The Danish Parliament and the Danish Mongolian Society will hold a conference marking 25 years of democratic development in Mongolia.

The Danish Parliament is opening a photo exhibition entitled "Here and Now" as part of the celebrations on the 100th anniversary of the amendment of the Constitutional Act in 1915. The exhibition can be seen in the Rigsdag Courtyard at Christiansborg from 4 June to 18 October and then in Allinge, Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg and Esbjerg during the summer and autumn.

The 100th anniversary of the enfranchisement of women and servants under the Constitutional Act of 1915 will be celebrated on 5 June 2015. To mark the occasion, the Danish Parliament and the Danish Government invite the public to a national festival based at Christiansborg Palace Courtyard. The national celebration will begin at the Rigsdag Courtyard where Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II, the Government and Parliament will receive a procession arranged by the Danish Women's Society.
