Flemming Hansen, born August 9th 1939 in Copenhagen, son of registered public accountant Hans Hansen and housewife Gyda Hansen.

Parliamentary career
Trade and industry policy spokesman, 1984-1994, market policy spokesman, 1987-1989, and energy policy spokesman, 1989-1990. Vice-chairman of the Folketing's Trade and Industry Committee, 1987-1990, and chairman of the Folketing's Currency Committee, 1988-1994, and of the Fiscal Affairs and Taxation Committee, 1994-1998. Fiscal policy spokesman from 1994. Member of the Council of Europe, 1993-2007. Member of the management committee of the Interparliamentary Union from 1998. Vice-chairman of the European Democratic Group.

Chairman of the training committee of the Danish Association of Shoe Dealers, 1977-1981, vice-chairman of the association, 1981-1985, chairman, 1985-1990. Member of the council of representatives of the Danish Oil and Natural Gas Company (DONG), from 1990. Member of the National Tax Tribunal from 1998. Member of the board of directors of Lån & Spar Bank A/S, 1990-2001, of Euro Sko a.m.b.a, 1994-2001, of G. Falbe-Hansen A/S, and of Holst Sko A/S.

Bills, speeches and questions 
The Administration of the Danish Parliament records data regarding the Danish Parliament's parliamentary documents. The Administration of the Danish Parliament also records Members' names and the dates they speak in the Chamber, put questions to the Ministers and submit Bills. This information is linked via the individual Member's page to the matters, in which the Member has been involved.

Appointments and financial interests 
The Danish Parliament's Legal Services Office, i.e. the department in the Administration of the Danish Parliament that is responsible for controlling records, records Members' appointments and financial interests. A Member of Parliament who wishes to be listed in the records is, however, personally responsible for reporting relevant information to the Legal Services Office. Members are also personally responsible for reporting any changes in their appointments and financial interests.

Listed Members are obliged to report new and amended information to the Legal Services Office not later than one month after the new information becomes available, after which time the Legal Services Office updates the records. The Legal Services Office sends listed Members an annual request to renew their consent to listing.
