US Special Envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan visited the Danish Parliament
The United States special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan, Ambassador Marc Grossman, paid a visit to the Danish Parliament yesterday where he met the Speaker of the Danish Parliament and members of the Foreign Policy Committee and the Defence Committee.

The transition process for Afghanistan was discussed at the meeting. Ambassador Grossman provided insight into the challenges ahead of the full withdrawal of the international armed forces in 2014 and emphasised the need for continued Danish support during the complex transition process.
Previously, Ambassador Grossman met Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Villy Søvndal. Marc Grossman's visit is part of a tour of Europe with Copenhagen as the first stop.
