English › The 100th Anniversary of the amendment of the Danish Constitution › Celebration at Christiansborg on 5 June
The arrangement runs from 12.00-17.00 and is free. Before the celebration begins, Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II, Members of the Government and MPs will assemble in the Rigsdag Courtyard at 11.30 to greet a constitutional procession arranged by the Danish Women's Society.
The principal stage at Christiansborg Palace Courtyard will be opened by Denmark's first female Prime Minister, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, at the invitation of the Danish Women's Society. The stage will then be taken over by Vinnie Who, Baby In Vain, Julias Moon and Louise Alenius, Mikael Bertelsen will conduct a folk dancing course and Djuna Barnes will round off at the DJ mixing desk.
There will be a block party outside Børsen with arrangements by various street hosts along the lines of Copenhagen Distortion's street parties at Nørrebro and Vesterbro. Droz Daily Steezin will host a hip hop scene, Politiken Live og Sensational/Eir football will hold a democracy tournament and Illegal Magazine will hold a release party.
There will be a classic anniversary party at Tøjhusgade with flags, balloons, cakes and Cava, a children's disco, a communal table, 1970s funk, hip hop and house. Rosforth Vinbar and Colberg's organic soft drink bar will provide beverages and Konditori Antoinette will bring the cakes. DJs Slick Nick N’ Cheese A Lot, Simon Dokkedal and Kenton Slash Demon will be at the DJ mixer desk.
Golden Days will arrange spoken karaoke (spokaoke) in the Royal Library Garden. Lars Trier Mogensen and Niels Ivar Larsen will hold a live editorial meeting with visits by Jack Lang (French politician, formerly minister of culture, among other positions), Anders Morgenthaler, Lars Refn, Professor Martin Zerlang and others. The editorial meeting will result in the publication of a democracy magazine. Mads Brügger will act as intermediary.
On a day-to-day basis, Prins Jørgens Gård houses the Prime Minister's Department, the High Court and the Danish Parliament. Artist Fos will create a happening/installation based on the theme the Seat of Power.
Copenhagen Municipality, Canal Tours and the Danish Swimming Federation will arrange a spectacular communal swimming event in the canal against the backdrop of Nikolaj Church, Højbro Plads and Christiansborg. This will be an orchestrated happening with pool party music.
Finally, the Danish Parliament will host a photo exhibition in the Rigsdag Courtyard that illustrates five photographers' interpretations of the themes of equality, rights, participation, fellowship and activists.
